It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you as you visit the Epsom Downs Community School and Early Years Centres website. We are a very unique educational establishment with a Day Nursery (which offers childcare provision for babies from 3 months); BASH club (Breakfast, After school and Holiday Club); Family Centre; two classes from Nursery up to year 6; a specialist High CoIN (Communication and Interaction Needs) centre; a farm; bio globe; 2 nature worlds; 2 outdoor eco classrooms; sports field with pavilion. Please take your time to walk through our website and find out more about the entire provision we offer. We believe that we are a unique school, catering for children from 0-11 years of age, during which time we really get to know all of our children and help them on their individual learning journeys. To achieve the best start we aim to support each child to achieve more than they ever thought was possible and to develop strong, supportive and respectful relationships with each other and the adults they work with. We have high expectations of all children and provide them with the challenge, opportunities and support for them to flourish.  Through an engaging, creative curriculum that links knowledge, skills and outdoor learning opportunities, children are given the chance to further develop their self-esteem, problem solving and collaboration skills through hands-on learning in a natural environment.

We have a strong, dedicated team, who are passionate about ensuring the best start in life for all children. The senior leadership team drive the school in a cohesive direction, a member of this team is on the playground every morning as a point of contact for parents.  Within this team we have phase leaders across the school who ensure consistency and high expectations across each key stage.  Every teacher, teaching assistant and member of the admin and premises team, act as role models in order for children to achieve the highest standards.
